Top 6 Event Platforms

Top 6 Event Platforms

With COVID quarantine becoming the new normal, we have all started looking for ways to engage with our friends and family as we crave that human interaction we long for. Whether it be a celebration, fundraiser, date night or hanging out with friends we now do all of that and more from the comfort of our own home. The only good part about quarantine, pajamas are optional.

Until we can all be together in one room, I wanted to share the top 6 platforms to host your next event on:

#1. ZOOM

Zoom is a great platform for just about everything and is the most used virtual platform by people across North America right now. Zoom is easy to set up, use, and manage so almost anyone at any age can be a part of the event.

Zoom has also made certain features free and upped the number of people who can join a call to ensure you can invite more people to join your event.

It’s just one easy click to start or join any events, and Zoom provides easy collaboration and participant controls.

This platform is a great way to host family birthdays, anniversaries, girls’ night, or a couples game night.

Hopin is the first all-in-one live online events platform where attendees can learn, interact, and connect with people from anywhere in the world.

This platform has over 10,000+ users who love the platform to host events, especially during this time.

Users can mix and match several modules to make online event experiences. These modules include event reception, event stage, event meetings, event booths, and event registration to make the actual event come to life.

You can schedule the activities of your events throughout the day as well which is an awesome bonus.

Event attendees can watch live-streamed content such as an online webinar or live-stream from a physical event while engaging with other attendees using the chat.

To attend an event, attendees need to go to the event page and click on the event that they want to attend. After clicking the ‘Register’ button, they will receive an email regarding the event details.

This platform is simple, easy, and innovative and makes for an event that will have you feeling like you are really there in person!

#3. Crowdcast

Crowdcast is said to be the most engaging and easy-to-use live streaming experience on the market.

It is a browser-based solution for creating interactive webinars, live Q&As, workshops, and online summits that scale to your needs, especially during the quarantine.

This platform is super user friendly so if you and technology aren’t BFF’s you can figure it out fairly quickly to join the event being hosted! (Or maybe even host your own.)

Crowdcast pricing usually starts at $49.00 per month. However, there is a free version of Crowdcast right now and it offers a free trial as well!

#4. Google Meet

Anyone with a standard Google account/email can join and participate in Google Meet.

Google Meet now supports up to 100 participants as well so this is the perfect platform for hosting a larger event for free. This platform is great for events such as the following:

  • Large family gatherings
  • Family Reunions
  • Small business meetings
  • Large business conferences
  • Birthday Parties

So whatever your next big event is, google meets will allow you to host with no worries about running out of room for guests and no worries about footing the bill to use the software either.

#5. Big Maker

Big Maker is a video platform for webinars, summits, and virtual conferences. This platform is great for larger events like online wedding receptions, stag and do’s, and large business conferences.

This is a web-based platform that doesn’t require any download to attend your event which is also a great bonus. This means attendees can just visit the provided URL and start watching.

BONUS #2: This is a huge convenience factor.

From the host perspective, BigMarker offers both live streaming and pre-recorded functionality with the ability to schedule automated sessions for your event so you can take a more hands-off approach (if you’re opting for pre-recorded).

All options being considered, including the day-of support option, BigMarker is on the lower side of the software pricing, but you are still required to pay a fee in hosting your virtual event.

#6. Accelevents

This last platform is a powerful but affordable all-in-one virtual event platform.

You do have to pay for this one as well but the benefits are endless when hosting large events like virtual stag & does.  They are known for ease of use and live 24/7 support. The platform offers tons of virtual event hosting features including ticket sales, live streaming, live chat & polling, virtual exhibitor booths, breakout sessions.

So whether you plan on hosting an event for 100 people or 100,000+ Accelevents will allow you to create a virtual experience that your attendees remember. They also provide a built-in production studio or you can bring your own.

So, even though it’s not the traditional way of getting together whether it be for a conference or a 30th-anniversary party, it is the new normal. These platforms are making the transition to celebrating a little bit easier as well!

Here is to your next event being a great and memorable one until we can all raise a glass and cheers together!
